Apart from DirecTV, only few operators present the MLB Extra Innings this season. According to TVPredictions.com, Dish Network won’t broadcast MLB Extra Innings either in standard or high-definition. Cox Communications in Rhode Island and San Diego will provide high-definition version of the games. Cablevision will carry the games but have not disclosed the amount of games and which areas the games will be broadcasted.

After Comcast’s launched TiVo service last year, Cox communications also about to launch the service in New England Area. Tom Rogers, TiVo president and CEO during a conference call last week said that Cox is trying the TiVo service and will launch the service very soon. Tom Rogers also said that Comcast has started marketing TiVo based DVR service in the New England market area and its being offered to 1.6 million subscribers.
